Sunflowers are available year round here in Florida. Recently, I have had several requests for more paintings using this subject. While I am always happy with the results, sunflower close-ups like this one are some of the most labor intensive pieces. Each petal has its own personality and must be carefully painted to capture the beauty and whimsey of the individual flower.
